Avatar 3D Review - Liverpool One Odeon Cinema
This is not going to be one of those hyper-critical reviews about the story-line. I thought there were an immense amount of original content around a central theme that has been duplicated many times in the past.
There's a love interest, there's the outsider becoming part of a new clan and then risking their existence and there's the military tit that just wants to nuke everything. It's all been done before. But Avatar 3D has so much original and poignant that it truly is exceptional.
At this point you'd have noted that I haven't mentioned the visuals. The 3D on this was absolutely amazing. James Cameron could have gone down an ego trip and offered stuffing 3D effects in every scene, but they were wisely used. And when you found yourself on top of a rock are a branch with nothing for miles below you you felt the adrenaline course through your body - it was that lifelike.
There was only negative point to this film. And that was Sigourney Weaver's acting at the beginning - not the best I've ever seen!
And if you wanted to see what the 3D glasses look like? Well remember those old NHS glasses?
Cool huh? Well seeing as this is the only film where I've not had a little oik try and spoil then you'll realise that everyone is too busy to take the piss out of you for looking like one of the Two Ronnies!
If you haven't seen it already, then what's wrong with you? If you have seen it, what did you think?

Fox Business reports that the release of the film Journey to the Center of the Earth has led to cinema owners calling for inhanced 3D technologies.
